South Korea’s Petite France

Bored with ordinary itineraries in Seoul? Don’t wanna stay at Myeongdong and Dongdaemun anymore? Then perhaps you could consider going to Petite France of South Korea.

As you could guess from the name, it is a French style village in the city of Gapyeong, some 50km northeast of Seoul. Any Saint-Exupéry fans here? If you are one of them, then you will love this place so much. Because they have a little gallery there, giving a brief introduction on the history of the great French writer.

Needless to say, this is an extremely photo-friendly place. Take out your phone and keep snapping. Look around and you may be able to find “Le Petit Prince”!

Because of their proximity, people usually visit Nami Island together with Petite France and make it a day trip.

Getting there
